Girls, 12, airlifted to hospital after ‘serious’ collision with car on their way home from school
Ambulance crews say one of the girls has suffered a head injury and one a suspected leg fracture.
TWO young schoolgirls have been injured in a 'serious' collision with a car.
The pair, believed to be 12-years-old, are thought to have been crossing the A3122 Townstal Road in Dartmouth, Devon when they were reportedly hit by a Ford Fiesta.
The incident took place at 3.30pm today and the Devon Air Ambulance was sent to the scene.

No further updates about the girl's condition or identity have been released.
Kingsbridge Police posted a message on Facebook which said: "Emergency services are currently on the scene at an RTC in Dartmouth by the petrol station where to schoolgirls have been hit by a car.
"The air ambulance is en-route so the road has been closed to all traffic.
"Please seek an alternative route and bear with us during this incident.
"We will open the road as soon as possible."
Devon and Cornwall Police added: "Police, ambulance and the air ambulance were called to Townstal Road, Dartmouth at 3,30pm following reports of a collision between a Ford Fiesta and two young female pedestrians.
"Both girls are being assessed by ambulance, there are no details of injuries at this time."
Police have closed the road and are diverting traffic away from the area.
