LAST MINUTE JITTERS?

Hillary Clinton ‘cancels victory fireworks display’ that was planned for just 30 minutes after voting ends

Hillary Clinton had already organised a victory firework display for election day next week

HILLARY Clinton has cancelled a planned fireworks display to celebrate her previously presumed victory tomorrow night.

The extravagant show had been organised to take place on a barge in New York's Hudson River only 30 minutes after polls shut on November 8.

But it has now been reported that Clinton has cancelled the display, possibly after getting the jitters following a narrowing of her lead in the polls.

According to the , NYPD chief of intelligence Tommy Galati made the revelation at a city press conference on Election Day security.

He reportedly told journalists: “They do have a permit for fireworks, but at this point we believe the fireworks are cancelled.”

When asked by a reporter why the display was cancelled, Galati responded: “I cannot tell you that.”

Big Apple fire chiefs previously confirmed the Democrat's team had submitted a plan for the display should she win.

But Clinton still plans to celebrate if she does win - with a massive party right next to Trump Tower, went on to claim.

Citing unnamed sources, the paper said she was planning an election after-party at the five-star Peninsula Hotel on Fifth Avenue — just a block from the Republican's famous skyscraper.

Last week, it appeared Clinton had temped fate with her premature fireworks plans - with one poll putting Trump ahead of her in the race to win the White House.

The  gave the billionaire a one point lead - despite finding himself 12 points adrift just a fortnight ago.

And the Apprentice host was given a further boost when a political scientist who has called every election correctly for 30 years said it waas Trump's to lose.

Allan J. Lichtman, the professor of history at American University, insisted "history-making" Trump was set to storm to the presidency.

The candidates are now neck and neck as the race to the White House enters its final few hours.

The dramatic slashing of Clinton’s lead had been largely down to the FBI’s last minute announcement that it was renewing a probe into her use of a private email server just days before the election.

But the agency seemed to backtrack, announcing last night that the Democrat would face no criminal charges over the scandal.

The news left Trump furious, leading him to claim his rival was being protected by a “rigged system”.

He told supporters: “Hillary Clinton is guilty, she knows it, the FBI knows it, the people know it and now it’s up to the American people to deliver justice at the ballot box on November 8.”
