TWO actors have tragically drowned after a helicopter stunt went horribly wrong.
Indian movie stars Anil Kumar and Raghav Uday jumped into a reservoir from a low-flying helicopter during filming of their latest picture.
However, the two performers failed to resurface and are now presumed dead.
A third actor Duniya Vijay also made the dangerous leap but survived the incident.
The deadly accident happened in the Thippagondanahalli Reservoir near Bangalore on Sunday.
The film is reportedly an action movie based around the life of Vijay.
India Today reports that the scene which claimed the actors' lives was the climax of the movie.
Rescue workers failed to find the actors after scouring the treacherous water in a boat.
Producers behind the project now face a criminal investigation.
has revealed that the Superintendent of Police of Ramanagara has filed a case into the shocking incident.
Titled Masthigudi, the picture is part of southern India’s ‘Kannada’ film industry meaning it is produced in the language of Kannada.
There are over 100 Kannada films produced every year in India.
