Cop, 53, charged with making indecent images of children while working as police sergeant

A FORMER police officer has been charged with making indecent images of children.

John Bramwell, 53, was working as a police sergeant for Devon and Cornwall Police at the time of the alleged offences.

He has been summonsed to appear at Exeter Magistrates' Court today.

Bramwell is charged with two counts of making incident images of children between September and October 2021.

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed he is no longer employed by the force.

A spokesperson said: "A former Devon & Cornwall Police officer is due to appear in court this afternoon accused of making indecent images of children.
