THE most dangerous places to live in the UK have been revealed.
The Sun has exposed where in Britain people are most likely to fall victim to violent crimes.
Cleveland is the current "crime capital of England" where the highest level of crimes per 1,000 population was reported.
The numbers are calculated to show the level of crime proportionate to the number of people who live there.
Cleveland saw 139.6 crimes occur per 1,000 people according to the latest ONS figures.
Of these, 35.8 were violent crimes.

The north-east county suffers a crime rate more than double that of neighbouring North Yorkshire.
Although it is among the UK’s smallest forces, the Cleveland Police force covering Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Cleveland and Stockton-on-Tees is now dealing with a shocking epidemic of stabbings.

Bar and pub security have reported that more youngsters than ever are now carrying knifes.

Weapons including machetes, 10-inch "Rambo" knives and canisters of CS gas - a powerful type of tear gas used to control riots - have all been confiscated.
In a desperate bid to help protect members of the public, volunteers have even handed out ‘stab’ packs to stem the never-ending tide of bloodshed.
In May 2022 a horrific stabbing took place at The Keys in Yarm, near Stockton on Tees.
A 26-year-old man suffered serious injuries outside the venue after an altercation was believed to have started inside.
The victim survived the assault, which saw three people arrested and one man facing court accused of wounding.
The incident led The Keys to install an airport-style security gate to scan all customers entering the premises.
Cleveland is also the worst area for sexual offences.
For overall crimes, West Yorkshire comes in at a close second - with 132.9.
This is significantly more than the national average for England - where in total 92.6 crimes were committed between September 2021 and September 2022 per 1,000.
All of the top five areas for crime are in the north of England.
SAFEST IN UK
Wiltshire is the safest place to live in England and Wales, with the lowest rates of both crime and violent offences.
Per 1,000 they have just 58.1 crimes a year - 24.1 of which are violent.
Cornwall, Devon, Surrey and Hertfordshire were also among the safest areas in the country.
Surprisingly, per capita, crime-ridden London does not even place in the top 10 most dangerous places.
It ranks in 11th place - with the Metropolitan police dealing with 96 victim-based crimes per 1,000 people.

However, unsurprisingly, it is the number one worst place for robbery and theft.
Meanwhile, Greater Manchester has the most cases of burglary - with 8.2 per 1,000.
