Julie told : "I’ve been reading about Nicola’s case and there are a lot of similarities with Levi’s in terms of what we have had to cope with.

"My message to her family, to her partner, to her little girls would be this 'I know your pain but don’t give up'.

"At the moment hope is all we have. There’s so many questions and no answers. You don’t feel as though you can grieve when there is no body and so no confirmation that that person has gone.

"If I can be of any help to Nicola’s partner and family then all they need do is contact me and I’ll be happy to offer any assistance I can."

She added that she is better placed than most to know the "anguish" Nicola's family are going through given the striking similarities between the cases.

Julie explained: "I know with Levi it’s the not knowing that is the biggest cause of anguish. That’ll be the same with Nicola’s family.

"On top of that they’ve had the same sort of frustrations with what the police are doing and what they’re not doing and what people - many of them armchair detectives - are saying happened without one shred of evidence.

"That just makes it all so much worse and in Nicola’s case there’s young children to think about."

It comes as Police, who are investigating Nicola's disappearance, are facing growing scrutiny over their handling of the case, with one Met Police DCI saying they are acting like amateurs.

The force has launched its own internal probe into the matter, as well as referring itself to the independent police watchdog and being called in to explain the decision to the Home Secretary.

Controversy flared up around detective's decision to reveal that Nicola had been classed a high risk missing person due to "issues with alcohol" as a result of her struggles with the menopause.

MPs and commentators have slammed the move as "victim-blaming", while a friend of Nicola's suggested that cops were trying to "shift the focus" from their own failings.

Nicola was last seen close to the River Wyre on January 27 with her springer spaniel Willow.

Extensive water and land searches have been carried out, but there has been sign of her since.

The mortgage adviser's family are desperate to bring her home so she can give her children a "cuddle".

They said in a statement released via the police on Thursday: "Nikki, we hope you are reading this and know that we love you so much and your girls want a cuddle."

"Don’t be scared, we all love you so very much."

While dad Ernie Bulley, 73, told : "Every day is a struggle.

"[We're] no further on from three weeks ago.

"[We] just need a breakthrough to give us some hope."

Levi, meanwhile, has been missing since he was seen leaving a pub in , Spain on October 29.

Reports have speculated that the missing former professional rugby player may have drowned after being hunted by criminals over a £100,000 debt.
