Schoolboy pedestrian, 7, killed after being hit by a car in horror Plymstock crash as driver, 55, arrested
A SCHOOLBOY has been killed after being hit by a car.
Emergency Services rushed to the crash around 11.10am on Sunday following reports of a car hitting a child pedestrian in Plymstock, Devon.
A seven-year-old boy sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital where he later died. His next of kin have been informed.
A 55-year-old man from Plymouth, Devon, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
He remains in police custody at this time.
The road currently remains closed and officers from the Roads Policing Team are carrying out investigations at the scene.
