Parents of Arthur Heeler-Frood who disappeared after leaving note for parents saying he’d be back ‘in a year’ plead for him to get in touch
They say he was worried about his sister going to university and holed himself up in his bedroom all summer
THE parents of a teen who disappeared leaving a note saying he would be back "in a year" have made an emotional plea for him to get in touch.
Arthur Heeler-Frood went missing from his home in Axminster, Devon on September 6 and has not been seen or heard from since.
Leaving with his bike and £350 in cash, his parents believe he is still in the country as he left behind his passport.
His bike has since been recovered but Arthur's whereabouts are still unknown.
In a desperate attempt to find their son, mum Caroline and dad Jeremy appeared on This Morning begging him to make contact.

"Arthur please, please make contact with us", tearful Caroline said.
"We're desperate to know you're safe. I don’t think you can possibly realise how agonising this has been for us."
Dad Jeremy said his son did not need to contact them directly, pleading: "There is a charity called Missing People and their number is 116 000 and you can speak to them confidentially and they will send messages to us".
Reclusive Arthur was increasingly worried about his sister Hester leaving home to start university and he spent most of the summer holed up in his bedroom, reports.
In a Facebook appeal, his worried sister asked anyone with knowledge of where Arthur is to tell authorities.
She revealed he disappeared on what should have been his first day back at Colyton Grammar School.
"We thought that Arthur had intended to cycle to school as it is not unusual for him to go on long cycle rides as he enjoys sport and exercise.
"However he never arrived at school."
