A WOMAN who unleashed a racist tirade against a group of people speaking Arabic on the bus has been shut down by a fellow passenger.

The argument, caught on camera, was sparked when the woman started attacking her fellow passengers, telling them to stop speaking Arabic and claiming they had stolen British jobs.

Ryan McPhee recorded the confrontation after becoming enraged at the woman's comments against the three men and woman on the bus.

The 25-year-old said: "She was telling them to stop talking because it wasn't English.

"She was saying ‘your in our country so you should speak our f***ing language’ while looking at me and another person, who were white. Like we was going to back her up. She turned and said shut the f*** up, so I took out my earphones and confronted her about it.”

Ryan, who volunteers helping the homeless, said while the recording missed the woman's initial outburst, he had been determined to pick her up on her racist comments.

He even asks the group what language they are speaking before telling them that they can speak whatever language they want.

But the woman can then be heard interjecting, telling the group “you shouldn’t be in my country”.

Ryan then tells the woman: ";there is no need to get on the bus and be racist."

The racist woman claims that the people on the bus “are taking our f***ing jobs” but is unable to respond after Mr Mcphee asks her how they have taken our jobs.

The Manchester man said that the confrontation took place between Salford and Eccles on the First Manchester 100 bus service at around 11pm on November 1.

He said the woman was later kicked off the bus.

He said: "As soon as I got on the bus, I had to listen to her going on at these guys about being foreigners and speaking Arabic. I decided to get involved because I was not happy about the things she was saying.

"When I actually stopped filming, she actually got off the bus in Eccles town centre but then got back on again. She also tried slapping me when she first tried getting off the bus. I was speaking to the guys afterwards who had to endure her and they were fine.

"I think they knew she was intoxicated and thought ‘you know what, she isn’t even worth our time’. The guys could actually speak better English than her. There was actually a girl sitting with them, so it was three guys and a girl. People come here to have a better life. They want to come here to work, get jobs and have a good life."

Footage of the confrontation was posted on Mr Mcphee’s Facebook page and has been viewed over 25k times.

People have commented on the video with one user writing: "Well said Ryan - too many people just look the other way!!"

Another said: "The state of her slagging some innocent guy off just because of their race & language, disgusting!! It makes me ashamed to be British, I'm just glad I'm not like this!!”

John Roxburgh, First Manchester Operations Manager for the Queen’s depot, said: “We do not tolerate any form of discrimination on board our vehicles, and we have launched an investigation into the incident that took place on board the 100 service at the beginning of this month.”
