Shocking moment Ferrari burst into flames as looters raided burning car for bank cards and laptop

It was an expensive trip to the bank for the driver after the £80,000 car ended up a charred mess

A MOTORIST had a day to forget after stopping at a cash machine at a shopping centre - only to have their Ferrari burst into flames.

The fiery pit stop happened in Sydney, Australia, earlier today.

But the bad luck of the driver of the luxury Ferrari 360 Spider, which can fetch between £60,000 and £80,000, didn't end there.

While his beloved Italian super car lay in flames, one man stole his cash and bank card, while another stole his laptop from the burning vehicle.

Footage shared by 7 News showed several people trying to extinguish the blaze, though one person was actually helping himself to 46-year-old Marcel Francotte’s belongings inside the car.

Reports quoted New South Wales Police inspector Peter Jenkins as saying it was an “extremely low act to take someone’s property at any stage…but this was unfathomable.”
