Three prisoners escape HMP Leyhill jail as police warn of ‘danger to the public’ while confirming one is a convicted rapist
Desperate police issued descriptions of Admi Headley, Paul Bromwich and Wayne Maycock who did a runner from Gloucestershire jail yesterday
DESPERATE police are hunting for three lags who did a runner from their open prison.
The trio are serving time for offences including rape, robbery and grievous bodily harm and officers warned the public not to approach them.
Admi Headley, Paul Bromwich and Wayne Maycock absconded from HMP Leyhill in South Gloucestershire yesterday afternoon.
And police confirmed they fear the convicts are a danger to the public.
All three are believed to have links with Manchester and the city's police force confirmed it has been put on alert.
Investigators this morning issued descriptions of the men in a bid to capture the three runaways.
Maycock, 33, is 6ft 3ins tall, with a medium build, brown hair and green eyes.
Headley, 34, was described as 5ft 10ins and black with a slim build, brown eyes and short black hair. He also has a tattoo on his left arm.
The final man, Bromwich, is 54, stands 6ft tall, is of medium build and has blue eyes.
He has a scar on his left cheek, wears glasses and has tattoos on both arms.
The scare comes just days after two lags managed to escape from Pentonville Prison in an elaborate break-out.
James Whitlock and Matthew Baker are believed to have used diamond-tipped cutters and a drone to escape from the London jail.
They are then believed to have fooled guards with dummies left in their cell beds.
Whitlock was found by police in East London last night while Matthew Baker was re-arrested on Wednesday.
