We welcome Suella Braverman’s crackdown on sickening abusers like Gary Glitter
Our duty to tackle vile pervs like Glitter
VILE sex abusers who groom innocent children must have nowhere to hide.
Suella Braverman’s crackdown on anyone in authority who turns a blind eye to such sickening behaviour is more than welcome.
For too long victims have been let down by the system and the Home Secretary’s proposals should do much to prevent horrific crimes like the Rotherham grooming gang scandal happening again.
But why has it taken this long for those who work with children to be legally bound to report abuse?
Everyone must step up and take responsibility if we are to eradicate this evil from our midst.
The action of this newspaper led to unrepentant paedophile Gary Glitter being thrown back into jail.

Shockingly, we now find that the disgraced pop star was gawping at videos of girls as young as eight on his taxpayer-provided smartphone.
The serial child abuser had also downloaded then deleted a dark web app.
His sickening behaviour was in clear breach of his parole terms.
But the public are entitled to know how he was allowed to do this in his publicly-funded “halfway house” hostel in the first place?
This monster cannot reapply for parole for at least another year.
Why not make it ten?
Boot out these thugs
ANOTHER day, another story of deportations being blocked.
This time it’s more than 1,000 Albanian criminals who cannot be removed.
That is despite our good relations with Albania which allows us to fly back their illegal migrants.
Needless to say almost all of these thugs — dangerous drug dealers and violent sex offenders — are resorting to modern slavery or human rights laws to prevent their return.
Yet another example of why Rishi Sunak’s new laws to crack down on bogus legal claims can’t come soon enough.
Right Royal knees-up
WE should never underestimate the value of the monarchy.
King Charles’s triumphant trip to Germany last week shows how much influence he wields on behalf of Britain.
And closer to home, his coronation next month is predicted to boost the economy by a hefty £1.4billion.

This will be a massive moment in our history, but the build-up has been so low key you’d hardly know it was happening.
With just five weeks to go can we get this party started, Your Majesty?
