Man is run over in ‘targeted attack’ near Tesco Express in Salford as cops probe ‘attempted murder’

COPS have launched an attempted murder probe after a man was run over in what was believed to be a "targeted attack" last night.
The victim was hit by a Blue VW Golf R in , Greater at around 10.50pm on April 5, according to police.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The driver of the car then fled on foot, abandoning his vehicle in the road.
Greater Manchester Police also confirmed that a white VW Tiguan was also involved.
No arrests have yet been made and the investigation is ongoing.

Detective Inspector Gareth Humphreys said: "We are working hard to establish the circumstances of this incident and an investigation is underway.
"We believe that this was a targeted attack and that there is no risk to the wider public.
"We are also asking anyone who may have been in the area to come forward with any information or footage that could help us during our investigation."
