Inside the lavish £2 MILLION two-storey ‘bachelor pad’ houseboat which is on the market for £2 million
High spec boat has views of Putney to the west, Hurlingham club to the north and Wandsworth Bridge to the east
IT’S advertised as a houseboat, but “£2m floating penthouse” would probably be a better description.
The cheekily-named II Nauti Buoys – “two naughty boys” - was built by a millionaire for his sons as their five-star bachelor pad, permanently moored on the River Thames at Wandsworth, south west London.
The pair have since emigrated and their breath-taking two-storey home with a huge sun deck on the roof at Riverside Quarter, is now on the market at £2,150,000.
“It’s one of the best houseboats I’ve ever seen, in terms of spec, space, views and the level of finish,” said Matthew Smith, of estate agents Knight Frank.
“It’s exceptional. It has great outside space, you’re right on the water and feel very much in touch with it.”
It was designed and built about five years ago to create the feeling of a floating penthouse, with extensive views through floor to full-height ceiling windows of the river Thames towards Putney to the west, the tree lined grounds of the Hurlingham club to the north and Wandsworth Bridge to the east.
Inside II Nauti Buoys it feels more like a boutique hotel than a boat - aside for the occasional sway from river traffic as the Thames clipper, tug boats or the refuse collection boat pass by.
