The woman said: “He pulled me towards him and he did fondle my bum.

“I was shaken.”

Explaining why she did not resist, she replied: “I felt unable to protest.

“I was working.”

Prosecutors said Mr Dewsnip’s alleged behaviour was deliberate, “fuelled by alcohol” and witnessed by the woman’s manager on September 8 last year.

But the businessman, of Guernsey, told Harrow crown court the suggestion he fondled a waitress was "totally beyond belief".

And a jury took took 30 minutes to reach a unanimous not guilty verdict on one count of sexual assault on November 18.
