Rotherham dog attack: Boy, 3, is mauled by XL Bully dog and rushed to hospital – with woman, 42, arrested
A THREE-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital with head injuries after being mauled by an XL Bully dog.
The toddler was attacked by the family pet in Rotherham, south Yorkshire, around 2pm on Monday.
Cops were called to a property on Spalton Road in the Parkgate area where they seized the hound.
A woman, 42, was arrested on suspicion of allowing a dog to be dangerously out of control.
She has since been released on bail, say South Yorkshire Police.
It is understood the tot is still receiving hospital treatment.

A police investigation has now been launched.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: "We were called to reports of a dog attack on Spalton Road, Parkgate, Rotherham at 2.08pm on Monday (17 April).
"Officers attended the scene and an XL Bully dog was seized from a property on the road.
"A three-year-old boy was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries.

"She was later bailed."
