Man ‘pinched Saudi prince’s £97k Rolls Royce by filing form with DVLA – then sold it to a car dealership in Huddersfield for £27k’
Mohammed Humza allegedly fooled the DVLA and ordered new keys for the vehicle
A MAN has appeared in court accused of nicking a Rolls-Royce from a Saudi prince - after allegedly sending the DVLA a form which convinced them it belonged to him.
Mohammed Humza, 25, allegedly filed a V62 form - an application for a vehicle registration certificate - to the DVLA, claiming to own Sheikh Mohammed Alibrahim's £97,000 Rolls Royce after he spotted the vehicle parked in a Mayfair car park.
Humza allegedly fooled the DVLA - and used the documentation issued by the authority to order new keys for the motor directly from Rolls Royce.
It is claimed he later sold it to Shaks Specialist Cars in Huddersfield for £27,500 - with a Blue BMW 5 Series and a White Mercedes-Benz A Class as part of the deal.
The prince claims only he and his chauffeur are allowed behind the wheel of the car - and says the driver inspected the car weekly.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Alibrahim says he wasn't able to reply to the DVLA regarding the change of ownership as he was abroad.
Humza faces additional charges for telling the DVLA he owned a Porsche 911 belonging to art collector Nicolas Cattelian, a Ferrari California and an Aston Martin DB9.
He denies any wrongdoing - and claims he had a 'legitimate' right to the luxury vehicle.
Appearing at Southwark Crown Court, Humza spoke only to identify himself and deny five counts of fraud by false representation and one count of conspiring to steal a motor vehicle.
Judge Anthony Leonard QC said the trial will begin in the week beginning 27 February at Southwark Crown Court.
