THE Met Office has revealed its May Bank Holiday forecast - with Brits set to enjoy 17C warmth over the long weekend.
Forecaster Nick Silkstone said that mild air spreading across the UK will push temperatures above average by the bank holiday.
But he warned that the weather will likely be more fresh in some regions of the country.
The meteorologist said: "It will potentially take until the end of the week for the milder air to push as far north as northern Scotland.
"As the milder air pushes in temperatures will once again trend upwards and be mostly a little above average by the bank holiday weekend, although still perhaps remaining nearer average in the extreme northeast."
The Met Office's temperature map for the bank holiday revealed that temperatures will reach 17C in London on Monday afternoon, with 14-16C the norm nationwide.

Its long range forecast also shed light on what Brits can expect over the Bank Holiday.
Patchy cloud is expected in the days leading up to the weekend, with a scattering of showers forecast for Saturday and a chance of thunder in Northern Ireland.

But by Bank Holiday Monday the rain will have largely passed - with only fleeting afternoon showers predicted for central and eastern England.
The forecast reads: "Cloud is expected to be patchy leading into this weekend, with low cloud possible over the western hills particularly in the mornings.
"A few showers may develop throughout Saturday across central and western areas, with the chance of thunder later on across Northern Ireland.
"Moving into May, weak bands of rain will mostly decay as they progress eastwards, acting as a focus for diurnal afternoon showers that mainly affect the central and east of England."
