Dog-walker John Hackett ‘murdered by schoolgirl and boys in park’ in Nuneaton was found dead by mum he cared for
A DOGWALKER said to be killed by three teenagers made it home after the brutal attack - before his mum found his body.
John Hackett, 36, was today named by police as the man who died in Nuneaton on Wednesday morning, seeing a schoolgirl and two boys arrested on suspicion of murder.
Warwickshire emergency services were rushed to John's home, where he is understood to have lived with and cared for his mother, around 8am.
Tragically he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said yesterday that they believed the 36-year-old's death was linked to an "altercation" at the Snowhill Recreation Ground the night before.
Locals have now said John was out walking his dog in the park when the horror attack unfolded on Tuesday evening.

The brutal assault was apparently filmed, before an injured John fought to get himself home.
It is there that his mum found him dead the next morning, residents said.
One neighbour told The Sun Online: “He helped care for his mum, she’ll be devastated without him and I don’t know how she’ll manage.
"I want to know she’s OK but she’s not been at home and police at the cordon won’t tell me anything.

“What’s happened is terrible and has really shaken up the community.”
John's home, a neighbouring one and an entrance to the park today remained cordoned off by police.
The three 15-year-olds, who were arrested on Wednesday, remain in custody and a post mortem will be carried out in due course, police said.
Investigating officer Det Insp Collette O’Keefe said: “We recognise this is a concerning incident - which we are treating as isolated – and would like to reassure the local community that a full investigation is underway.
“Officers will remain in the area over the coming days as they carry out enquiries. If anyone has any concerns or information, please speak with them.
"Our thoughts continue to be with John’s family and friends, and we would ask that their privacy is respected at this difficult time."
She previously said footage of the "altercation" was circulating on social media and asked people not to share it.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101, citing incident 90 of April 26.
