THE bank holiday weather forecast has been revealed by the Met Office with 21C sun set to beam down on some - but heavy rain is expected in other parts.
As the UK gets ready to kick off the first of many long weekends in May we could expect brighter conditions after a week of drizzle.

The Met Office predicts sunny spells for much of the country over the three days.
However, Saturday will start off slightly wet in parts.
Moisture being brought in from the Atlantic could mean southern Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England wake up to cloud and rain.
Throughout the day heavy showers are expected in Wales, Northern Ireland and northern England.

But while it may start off looking grey, wintery conditions will push back further north allowing the sun and warmer air to break through, says the weather service.
Much of the south and east of England won't see showers and northern Scotland is expected to stay dry with warm sunshine.
London and further down south can expect highs of 21C on Saturday around 4pm.
The West Mids is forecast to reach 19C while Manchester and Hull see 18C.

Whereas Newcastle is forecast to only hit 10C.
Met Office Meteorologist Alex Deakin said: "Wafting up from the south is warmer air so temperatures are going to be on the rise the next few days.
"What's happening here is a big area of low pressure out in the Atlantic is wafting in south westerly winds so that's why it's turning warmer - but it will bring moisture.
"So it is going to be feeling more humid and that moisture is going to spark some heavy showers in places."
As we tick over into Sunday, showers will creep in from the west.
Alex added: "There will be showers which will last a while and be quite heavy.
"It is still reasonably mild with that warmer air pushing up over the next few days.
"Generally, temperatures of mid teens maybe high teens with some sunny spells across the south-east."
For bank holiday Monday, a Jetstream arching up to the north of the UK and dipping down to the east will generate showers across Scotland and eastern England.

The west is forecast to be dry, with sunny spells and warmer than the last few days.
Conditions are not above average for this time of year but the Met said it will be warmer than what we've had so far.
