Packed holiday jet forced to make emergency landing in Manchester after passenger blocks EVERY toilet on board with ‘something solid’

Airline says that ‘someone had thrown something solid’ down one of the loos which put all the others out of action as it flew from Canada to Pakistan

AIRLINE passengers were delayed for five hours because all the toilets on their plane were blocked.

The airplane was forced to land in Manchester after ‘someone had thrown something solid’ down one of the toilets which put all the lavs out of action.

The Pakistan International Airlines flight was travelling to the Indian subcontinent from Toronto, Canada, when it was diverted to Britain.

The guilty individual was condemned by the airline for causing the diversion and delay.

In a statement Muhammad Azam Saigol, the company’s chairman, was said to of the view that “passengers need to strictly adhere to and carefully read the warning signs in the toilets!”

The Boeing 777-200 had left Canada’s most populous city and was heading for the city of Lahore in Pakistan when the problem was discovered mid-air over the North Sea.

It then had to divert 200 miles to Manchester so the problem could be fixed before resuming its journey across Europe and Asia.

The airline tweeted: “Today's Toronto-Lahone PK-798 flight has been diverted to Manchester as its toilets got choked, due to something solid thrown by passengers.

“As all toilets are connected with a common drain line, the rest of the toilets were choked.

“Keeping in view the convenience of passengers, the flight has been diverted to Manchester where the toilets will be serviced before the flight continues its onward journey.

“Inconvenience to passengers is regretted.”

The plane took another hour to reach Manchester and then was on the ground for another three hours before it could take off again.

Passengers eventually reached Lahore with a delay of five hours.
