Cops hunting pair who assaulted and robbed a boy aged ELEVEN as he waited at bus stop

POLICE have released CCTV images after an 11-year-old schoolboy was robbed and assaulted while standing at a bus stop.

Officers say the pair stole his cash and assaulted him before following him onto the double-decker in Battersea, South London, and sitting upstairs.

The schoolboy, who had stayed on the lower deck, got off the bus and contacted police.

Police have released images of two people they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, which happened near the Londis store on Falcon Road at around 4pm on September 28.

Detectives say one of the suspects is described as a black teenage girl, wearing a black quilted jacket, red and purple rucksack and blue jeans.

The second suspect is said to be a black teenage boy, wearing a grey baseball cap, black jacket, black trousers and a blue bag, according to officers.

Police Constable Ellie Dransfield, from Wandsworth CID, said: "This is a robbery of a schoolboy and we are keen to identify the two suspects in the CCTV footage so we can speak to them about the incident.

"We would also urge anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us."

She added that no one has been arrested and enquiries are continuing.
