Meghan Markle’s family share childhood pictures of Prince Harry’s girlfriend – and say she would make the ideal aunt for George and Charlotte
Her brother and nephew also said the Prince should come 'hang' with them
PRINCE Harry’s girlfriend will be a fantastic auntie to the royal’s niece and nephew, according to her family.
The US beauty’s older brother Thomas Markle and his 24-year-old son Tyler said the ‘Suits’ actress is great with kids and would have a wonderful time with three-year-old Prince George and one-year-old Princess Charlotte.
Tyler told she used to take him to the park to feed the ducks – a favourite hobby of Prince George.
“She used to like to take us to the duck park,” he said.
“We would feed the ducks and run to the park when she babysat [me and my brother Thomas].”
If Harry did propose he’d have to come and ‘hang’ with the father and son before he popped the question.
“We’d take him jet-skiing, we live right on the river,” he added.
They also shared pictures of the star as a 14-year-old teenager.
Prince Harry was left red-faced last night after he was invited to spend his “honeymoon” with Ms Markle in Antigua by the country’s Prime Minister.
In front of over 300 VIP guests the PM Gaston Browne made the usually private Prince grimace and look at his feet as he told the crowd: “I believe we are expecting a new princess soon.
“I want you to know that you are very welcome to come on your honeymoon here.”
Harry fiddled with his shirt so as to avoid eye contact.
But as Harry was set to meet six of the country’s beauty queens, Mr Browne added: “Whatever is done here, stays here. So do not worry.”
Harry spent the rest of last night copping an eyeful of scantily-clad local stunners and was serenaded on stage by soca queen of Antigua and Barbuda Claudette Peters.
After the humiliation he refused to the be pictured alone with Miss Antigua and Barbuda Leanda Norville.
Leanda, 25, wearing a sequinned silver dress and a crown, didn’t seem put off by getting the loved-up Prince’s cold shoulder, she said: “He was a gentleman. Of course I want to be his princess. Everyone at this party does.
“His girlfriend seems a nice lady, but I would be a good girlfriend for him.”
Harry attended the party hosted by the Prime Minister at picturesque Barnacle Point in Antigua.
He presented the PM with an album of pictures on behalf of the Queen.
The album displayed images of the 1977 visit to the country by the Queen and Prince Philip.
The gaffe came despite the romance being banned from discussion at the charity event.
Organisers told young people not to ask about Harry‘s new girlfriend when he arrived at the official residence of the Queen’s representative in Antigua and Barbuda for the Colours of Charity event.
Cuthbert Forbes, a worker with the Halo Foundation, which organised the event, said: “We were told not to talk about it.”
But it didn’t appear to be an instruction from Kensington Palace.
Cuthbert added: “It came up at an organising committee meeting when we were thinking about what we could talk to him about and one of the core members of the committee said we shouldn’t talk about his girlfriend because it is personal.”
Instead the charity worker joked with the Prince about giving him his £65 red suede shoes, but Harry said: “Are they even legal?”
Cuthbert said: “I told him I’d swap him my shoes for his princely title but when I asked him if he was ready to give up being a prince he thought about it and said: “Not right now.”
The Prince chatted to young people who were at the event.
