Salih Muslim is a leader of a 'terrorist organisation' according to Ankara
A KURDISH separatist leader wanted over a terror attack that killed 29 people in Turkey spoke to students at Cambridge University last night.
Turkey this morning issued an arrest warrant for Salih Muslim, co-leader of the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD), for alleged connections to the bombing in Ankara last year.
Last night Mr Muslim was filmed speaking to students in the Cambridge University Kurdish Society.
Shad Hoshyar, the president of the society, said: "Salih Muslim spoke at Cambridge yesterday evening whilst his arrest warrant was issued this morning.
"As of yet we have not been contacted by the authorities. His speech is available on our Facebook page for everyone to listen to.

"However, it should be clarified that while Ankara has issued an arrest warrant for Mr Muslim, they have not yet asked the British government to extradite him back to Turkey to stand trial."
The state-run Turkish news agency Anadolu reported that arrest warrants had been issued for Mr Muslim and 47 others, including some top leaders of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).
Turkey regards the PYD as the Syrian wing of the PKK - which is considered a 'proscribed terrorist organisation' by the UK government.
However, tensions have sprung up between the west and Turkey over the nation's treatment of the Kurds, because the ethnic minority has achieved massive military success against ISIS.
The deadly February 17 blast took place during evening rush hour and killed 29 people. 15 suspects were later arrested in connection with the attack.
A Cambridge University spokesperson said: "The University and its Colleges have robust procedures in place to ensure that all legal requirements are met for external speakers.
"Monday’s event was organised by the University’s Kurdish Society. It was carefully managed and chaired."
Cambridgeshire Constabulary has been contacted for a comment.
