THIS is the shocking moment a furious man shoved a Just Stop Oil protester to the ground before smashing another's phone.

Activists were filmed marching through East wearing high-vis orange vests and carrying banners when a passerby got physical with the group.

In the clip, shot from a window overlooking the street, the angry man can be seen snatching at the placards and pushing the environmentalists as they infuriated motorists and slowed down traffic.

He then snatched one of their phones and hurled it into the pavement, having previously slapped it out of their hand.

After tossing the gadget away, he stood in front of the disruptive protesters and raised his arms while yelling at them.

It is not known what the man was shouting as he can't be heard over the horns of frustrated motorists.

The person he shoved over stood up again and walked off the road to sit on the pavement.

The man continued to argue with the protesters and tried to usher them off the street as the clip ended.

Just Stop Oil said that they were unsure if any of their activists were injured during a series of protests held today across London.

The Metropolitan Police provided regular updates on their Twitter page and said that they were aware of the demonstrations, but did not announce any arrests.

The force said: "The Met and City of London Police are aware of an incident shown on social media in which a member of the public appears to have an altercation with Just Stop Oil protesters, shortly before the arrival of police.

"At this stage, we are not aware that any allegations have been made in regard to this matter, however, at this stage we are in contact with the organisers of the demonstration.

"We completely understand the frustration and anger of London’s communities when protesters walk slowly in the roads.

"We urge people not to intervene and to wait for the arrival of police, who will attend the scene promptly. We thank people for their patience."
