Man, 77, charged with murder of his wife found inside house in Milton Keynes
A MAN has been charged with the murder of his wife in their bungalow.
Christine Sargent, 73, was discovered unconscious in the property in Milton Keynes just after 8am on Saturday.
Police and paramedics attended the scene and Mrs Sargeant was rushed to hospital but sadly passed away.
Michael Sargent was arrested in relation to his wife's death and has since been charged with murder.
Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Dejan Avramovic, of the Major Crime Unit, said: “Christine’s family are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers and our thoughts are with them.
“On their behalf, we would ask that their privacy is respected at this extremely distressing time for them.”

A Home Office post-mortem examination took place yesterday, with the provisional results being that Christine died as a result of neck compression.
Mr Sargent was due to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court this morning.
He was known in Milton Keynes by his middle name of "Andy".
He served for many years on the Loughton and Great Holm Parish Council and was a member of the the All Saints Church Loughton Jubilee graveyard committee.
