I’m an airline employee – here’s three things I will never do planning a holiday
AN airline employee has revealed the three things she would never do when planning to jet off on holiday.
Megan Homme, often reveals her top travel advice and tips to her army of 137,000 followers on Instagram.
The social media star took to her page to reveal her latest tips about the things she would never do.
In the clip she said: “Number one is check your bag. Yes, there are some exceptions to this.
“The only way from keeping your bag from getting lost is keeping it on you.”
And she shared her second top tip – telling travellers that they should always book their flights through the airline.
“Number two is book a flight through anyone other than the airline itself.
“If something goes wrong and you’ve booked through someone like Expedia, sometimes the airline cannot help you.”
And she also shared advice when it came to organising the timings of your flight.
Megan explained that it’s better to have more time between flights to make sure you’re not rushing or worried if your first flight is delayed.
She said: “Number three, book the shortest layover. If you have the option of a 45 minute or a two-hour layover, pick the two hours.”
The post hit a chord with her followers as it has picked up more than 19,000 likes.
One commentator was in full agreement with her, writing: “You are so right on all of that. Former passenger airline employee and current cargo employee.”
Another said: “Yes, this is always what I do. It just seems smarter.”
A third person chipped in with: “Exactly why I do not fly on US carriers. Everyone brings a huge bag.”
Megan has built up an army of followers thanks to her travel tips including the best time to book cheap flights and how to travel with just hand luggage.
In March this year she shared a video on her TikTok account giving helpful tips when it comes to buying a suitcase.
While in February she explained why you should never book the last flight of the day, especially during the winter.
She has also revealed the £11.99 item she always takes on a plane with her – and people say it’s a game-changer.
