I’m tortured by memory of my boy being mauled to death by a dog called Beast – no more parents should suffer this agony
A MUM said she is tortured by the memory of her boy being mauled to death by a dog called Beast - and hopes no more parents will suffer the same agony.
Jack Lis, 10, was killed by the eight-stone XL bully dog as he played at a friend's home in Caerphilly, south Wales.
The youngster suffered "severe injuries to the head and neck" after the eight-stone devil dog attacked him in November 2021.
Now his devastated mum Emma Whitfield, 32, has revealed how she is haunted by her memories of the savage attack.
She told the : "I still have terrible flashbacks. I still see the animal and its teeth.
"I hear the barking. You relive it multiple times a day – it’s torture.

"I still find it unbelievable. Sat on the sofa, or on the way home, and it hits you all over again."
Jack had been playing with a pal when he went to another friend's home in a neighbouring street.
Once inside, the huge animal savaged the schoolboy leaving him with "unsurvivable" injuries.
Beast's owner, Brandon Hayden, 19 was eventually sentenced to four years and six months imprisonment - while Amy Salter, 29, who was asked by Hayden to take care of the dog at her home, was sentenced to three years imprisonment.
The pair pleaded guilty to being in charge of a dangerously out of control dog.
Both Hayden and Salter were banned from owning a dog indefinitely.
Beast's previous owner was trying to get rid of the dog just days before the horror amid fears it would attack.
He wrote a plea on a bulldog Facebook page claiming the American pitbull-style animal was "great with people" but "unfortunately does not like other dogs".
The owner said: "I've tried my best with him, I have other dogs and cannot put them at risk.
"He needs someone with time."
He accompanied the post with a picture of the hulking dog baring its rippling muscles.
The dog had only just been taken in by the family of one of Jack's schoolfriends when it viciously mauled the boy.
Emma told how Jack had loved cuddling with the family's Shar Pei dog and cats.
She said: "His little brother James turned 10 in August – there are 18 months between them.
"Now instead of seeing two boys off to school, it’s just one."
