Now Reddit is ‘censoring the alt-right’ after founder got fed up of being called a PAEDO

THE CHIEF executive of Reddit has admitted to anonymously editing posts that were critical of him - changing them to refer to president-elect Donald Trump instead.
Steve Huffman, posting under his username Spez on the discussion forum, told users that he was sick of being constantly called a paedophile in their discussions on the site.
His move prompted criticism from high-profile commentators linked to the alt-right movement, who slammed the CEO for "censoring perfectly legitimate discussion".
Huffman said: "Yep. I messed with the “f*** u/spez” comments, replacing "spez" with r/the_donald mods for about an hour. It’s been a long week here.
"As much as we try to maintain a good relationship with you all, it does get old getting called a paedophile constantly.
"As the CEO, I shouldn’t play such games, and it’s all fixed now.

Users on Reddit have claimed that edits - and that the negative comments were re-directed towards Donald Trump - is another attack on the controversial alt-right movement, which has supported the president-elect.
Paul Joseph Watson, editor-at-large at the website InfoWars, told The Sun Online that prominent websites and social networks "routinely" suppressed right wing views.
Millions of Donald Trump supporters watched British firebrand Watson's videos during the election campaign and he played a key role in breaking stories including the Hillary Clinton health scare.
"Reddit is potentially even worse than Twitter went it comes to censoring perfectly legitimate discussion," he told us.
"The site routinely removes threads that are damaging to left-wing narratives and prevents them from going viral," he claimed.
"The fact that their CEO is now spending hours editing individual posts is another fascinating insight into the control freak behaviour that leftists exhibit on a regular basis.
"In recent months, companies like Reddit, Twitter and Facebook have made it clear that they do not stand on the side of free speech, and have instead decided to become echo chambers for social justice warriors.
"This is a dreadful business move and will eventually lead to their failure."
Outspoken tech entrepreneur and alt-right blogger Milo Yiannopoulos said attacks on the movement are typical.
He told The Sun Online: "Every social network I know of except is systematically purging conservatives and libertarians - not just the alt right.
"This is a mistake. If you think an idea is bad, you need to shine a light on it and prove it wrong in public. Silencing it has the opposite effect.
"That's how the alt right became so seductive in the first place."
Mr Yiannopoulos, who has been banned from Twitter, recently survived a telling off from Channel 4 presenter Cathy Newman.
Earlier this week Mr Yiannopoulos was due to speak at his old school in Canterbury but the school cancelled the event after concerns from Whitehall about extremism - prompting the writer to brand Theresa May "a total fascist."
Milo said: "So everybody’s worst fears that Theresa May is a total fascist have been confirmed by her sinister counter extremist goons.
"Perhaps they should spend a little more time stopping jihadis brainwashing British school kids and less time persecuting gays they disagree with."
A Department for Education spokesperson said: "When concerns are raised by members of the public following media coverage in advance of an event, the department would contact the school as a matter of routine to check they had considered any potential issues.
"The decision to cancel the event was a matter for the school."
