No one was injured but the two-door metallic blue Audi coupe was severely damaged.

An pictures from the scene show the wooden telegraph pole held up by its wires after it was uprooted from the roadside and thrown into a front garden yesterday morning.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 8.45am to Tanworth Lane to reports of a road traffic collision involving two cars and a telegraph pole.

“An ambulance and a paramedic area support officer attended. Three people were assessed on scene by ambulance staff but didn’t require hospital treatment.”

Billesley Fire Station said: “We were called to a RTC. The Audi had hit a lamppost.

“It looked like the Audi was severely damaged. There were two people in the Audi and they were fine.

“The ambulance did a precautionary check up and they were fine.

“There was another car, the Land Rover , and the lady driver received a precautionary check and she was fine.

“Both drivers had removed themselves before we had arrived. We made both vehicles safe and had to close the roadway. The lamppost was damaged and Western Power were called out."

The smash comes days after Leicester City ace Jeff Schlupp totalled his £190,000 Lamborghini on the M1 - then told a stunned recovery crew: "Oh well, I've got three other cars to choose from."

Earlier this month another Lamborghini driver was left with an eye-watering repair bill after a late-night crash in Manchester.

And in October we told how the driver of a £260,000 Lambo had a lucky escape after skidding off the M3 in Hampshire.

Groom Nasar Hanif was jailed last month after writing off an Audi R8 he hired for his stag do then crash while high on cocaine and cannabis.
