Shocking moment customer finds a ‘spy cam’ hidden in a vent in Starbucks toilets

A SECRET spy camera was found hidden in a vent above a customer toilet in a branch of Starbucks.

The small device was secreted over the loo in a shop in Vauxhall, south London, directly opposite MI6's HQ.

Ricci Arcari tweeted a video of the camera that could just be seen behind a grille.

The 33-year-old regular customer of the shop told his followers he was "totally disgusted" by the find.

He told : “I went in, used the toilet and as I was standing I was looking around. I looked up and thought that’s definitely a camera.

“I panicked a little bit, stopped doing what I was doing, closed the toilet lid and jumped up to have a look.

“I wanted to make sure it was what it was so I poked and prodded it a few times with my pinky and ran out and got the manager.”

The device has now been removed by Starbucks staff and the police have been contacted.

They have no idea how long the creepy camera has been up in the cubicle, or what it was being used for.

A spokesperson for Starbucks said: “This is a distressing discovery for our partners (employees) and customers, and we take our responsibility to provide a safe environment very seriously.

“As soon as the store was made aware of this, we removed the device and contacted the police who are investigating the incident.”

Starbucks said they don't know how the camera came to be there or who installed it and that the matter was now in the hands of police.
