Labour and Lib Dems will do dirty backroom deal to try humiliate Rishi Sunak in by-elections, Tories fear
SIR Keir Starmer and Sir Ed Davey will do a dirty backroom deal to try and humiliate Rishi Sunak in the by-elections, Tory insiders fear.
Labour is launching an all out offensive to win Boris Johnson’s old seat of Uxbridge in west London.
While the Lib Dems are focusing on trying to seize Nadine Dorries’ Blue Wall seat of mid Beds.
Sir Keir has ordered every single one of his MPs to hit the campaign trail in Uxbridge from Monday and has sent begging emails out to raise cash for the by-election battle.
While Sir Ed will hit Mid Beds today.
Luke Tryl, from the More in Common think-tank, said: “While it won’t be said openly, electoral logic means it’s almost certain we’ll see a repeat of the informal pact we saw in the Tiverton and Wakefield by-elections with Labour giving the Lib Dems a free run in Dorries old seat while the Lib Dems repay the favour to Labour in Hillingdon.

“While Labour seem likely to storm Uxbridge, and the Lib Dems start as favourites in Mid Bedfordshire you’d expect that seat be more of a nail biter as Sunak woos more traditional Tories back to the fold.”
The Tory party are already a whopping 12 points behind in the polls.
