AN uncle of Gareth Bale's fiancée has been arrested on suspicion of money laundering - after cops found £100k stuffed up his chimney.
Graham McMurray, 50 - said to dote on niece Emma Rhys-Jones - has been caught up in a vendetta believed to be over a suitcase of money belonging to a drugs gang.
An insider told : "There was a lot of police activity and they were searching inside for a few hours.
"No one here even knew Mr McMurray was connected to Gareth Bale - but he lives on his own with a Yorkshire Terrier.
"We haven't seen him since the police came."
South Wales Police have confirmed the arrests of a man, 50, from Pontypridd and a woman, 55, from Flint, north Wales.
A police source also confirmed that a large sum of money had been recovered.
Mr McMurray and Mrs Williams have both been freed on bail while police inquiries continue.

The vicious feud erupted in September when a bag of drugs, cash and watches worth £1million and said to belong to a Middle Eastern gang, went missing from the home of one of Emma's relatives.
Shortly after cars were firebombed at the homes of her grandparents and aunt Annabella Williams.
Two weeks ago, Annabella, 55, and a man, 50, were arrested on suspicion of money laundering and released on bail.
Even Bale’s four-year-old daughter Alba has been caught up in the chaos.
They have also vowed to release a video of her singing an inappropriate song, and another picture believed to have been doctored.
Police are investigating and a source said Real Madrid star Bale, 27, and fiancee Emma Rhys-Jones, 25, have been set up and the plant in the first image is not cannabis.
Security has since been stepped up around Bale, 27, his fiancée, and their two daughters.
