A DOUBLE murder investigation has been launched after a man and a teenage boy were stabbed to death, with one victim being found bleeding outside a hospital.
A 17-year-old youth has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the deaths in Ipswich, Suffolk, and he is currently in custody, police said.
Officers were called to reports of two stabbings within 15 minutes of each other on Thursday afternoon.
One of the victims was driven around four miles to Ipswich Hospital by car where he was dropped off outside and reportedly treated on the pavement.
Fifteen minutes earlier at 1.15pm, police had been called to a stabbing at West Meadows travellers' site.
Both of those injured - a man in his 30s and a boy in his late teens - died a short time after arriving at hospital.

Police said they believe both men were stabbed at the travellers' site and the area remained sealed off last night while officers carried out their investigation.
A Suffolk Constabulary spokeswoman said: “Police can confirm that a man and a teenage boy have died following an incident at West Meadows in Ipswich this afternoon.
“A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident and he has been taken into custody.
“Police were called at just after 1.15pm today, Thursday 8 December, to reports that a male had been stabbed at West Meadows.
“Officers attended and began enquiries at the scene.
“Police then received a call at just after 1.30pm to Heath Road, Ipswich, reporting that another male had arrived at Ipswich hospital having sustained suspected stab wounds.
“Both of those injured – a man in his 30s, and a boy in his late teens - were taken for treatment, one by ambulance from the site, one by car from the site, but both died a short time later.
“At this stage both are believed to have been stabbed on the site at West Meadows.
“The incident is being treated as a double murder investigation and enquiries are underway to determine exactly what happened.”
Police are appealing for witnesses to call Suffolk Police on 101 quoting CAD reference 222 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
It had been reported Ipswich Hospital was in lockdown following the incident, but a spokeswoman denied this.
Ipswich Hospital tweeted: "Just to reassure patients our hospital services are running as usual this afternoon."
