Boy, 5, dies after falling from harbour wall in Padstow in ‘tragic accident’ as cops launch probe
A YOUNG boy has died after falling from a harbour wall in a "tragic accident".
Cops confirmed that the five-year-old passed away in hospital after the horror plunge, which happened yesterday morning.
Emergency services rushed to the scene in Padstow, Cornwall, at 11.45am where the child, who they confirmed to be from the local area, was found.
He was airlifted to a nearby hospital, before being transferred to a larger one in Bristol, where he died with his parents present.
Cornwall Police said they are treating the death as a "tragic accident".
A spokesperson for the force said: "Our thoughts are with family and loved ones of the child during this difficult time."

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances around the death on behalf of the coroner.
