Man, 35, killed after being ‘punched’ outside bar as teenager, 19, arrested on suspicion of murder

A MAN has died after being "punched" outside a bar and a 19-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
The 35-year-old victim was fatally assaulted during the shocking attack in the early hours of Saturday, July 8, in Bury, Manchester.
He was transported to hospital by emergency services just before 4.30am with "life-threatening injuries".
Less than 24 hours later the victim tragically passed away, and Greater Manchester Police confirmed a 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
There was a significant police presence on Silver Street on Saturday while forensic teams cordoned off the area.
Investigations so far have suggested the victim was punched and then fell to the ground in the attack.

The force stated another 21-year-old suspect was initially arrested on suspicion of assault on Saturday.
He has since been bailed.
Detective Superintendent and Head of GMP’s Major Incident Team, Chris Bridge said: “A murder investigation has been launched to understand the circumstances surrounding this man’s death.
"My thoughts are with this man’s loved ones who have suffered an unimaginable loss from this tragic and unacceptable incident.
