FUMING residents say their seaside town is a battleground with knife-wielding youths running riot - and that no-one can stop them.
Eastfield, near Scarborough in North Yorkshire, is home to gangs of teens who "fight over everything".
Cops in the once-sleepy coastal town said that in April and May alone there were 57 violent offences - including 18 cases of arson and criminal damage.
Local teen Owen, 18, told : "There’s f*** all around here.
"There’s lots of fighting, people fight over everything. You get used it. If we see fights, we’re sat there egging them on.
"If you don’t get involved in that s***, you haven’t got anything to worry about – you’re sound."

Pensioner Steve Brean, 69, said: "There are some areas you wouldn’t want to be walking around in, it’s a bit ropey.
"On our estate, there’s kids of roaming around at 11pm, at eight, nine and ten years old."
Steve Cammish, 33, said: "Kids around here I’ve bumped into think carrying knives is cool."
North Yorkshire Police said: "The Eastfield area includes large swathes of deprivation and drug-related crime and ASB, which North Yorkshire Police pursues relentlessly.

"To support concerned residents, we have a weekly multi-agency meeting where we work to address the undoubted issues that are present in the community.
"We encourage people to report any issues to us at the police station in Manham Hill, which is open every weekday morning.
"Our dedicated PCSOs, who carry out regular foot patrol on the estate, are also on hand to take reports."
North Yorkshire Council said: "We carry out important work in the Eastfield area as part of the Community Impact Team.
"In conjunction with North Yorkshire Police, we work alongside other agencies.
"We are also a visible presence on the streets, engaging with communities as part of Operation Ambience.
"The initiative focuses on locations where crime, anti-social behaviour or exploitation is occurring.
"The team use a range of appropriate support and enforcement powers to disrupt and deal with issues identified.
"There are a number of activities and organisations open to young people in the Eastfield area."

It comes after Scarborough residents said it has been ruined by rowdy partygoers who have made their street one of Britain's most dangerous.
Locals in the picturesque seaside town say it is being turned into Magaluf by the council - ruining its charming atmosphere.
