Tube strikes July 2023: Walkouts set to hit London Underground next week are CALLED OFF, TfL confirms
THE Tube strikes set to hit London next week have now been called off.
Transport unions RMT and Aslef have suspended the strikes, which were scheduled to run all week from Sunday July 23 to Saturday July 28.
But a "major breakthrough" will bring relief to commuters across the capital.
Glynn Barton, chief operating officer at TfL, said: “We are pleased that the RMT and Aslef have suspended their planned industrial action next week.
“This is good news for London and we will continue to work closely with our trade unions to discuss the issues and seek a resolution.”
Aslef said: "On the basis of this progress, Aslef and the other unions involved, Unite and RMT have agreed to suspend the action planned for next week."
