BOOZED up Oxford University students hit the streets dressed as Santa as they got into the festive spirit.

Thousands donned Santa hats and jackets as they drank their way through five nightclubs and one superclub in the city centre last night.

The brainy students paid a tenner for the official Santa Crawl - which included their Father Christmas outfits.

In scenes that resembled the Spanish boozing resort of Magaluf, students were pictured enjoying the highs and lows of a night out on the tiles.

Female students were pictured vomiting and walking barefoot in the freezing weather for the night of shameless debauchery.

Men collapsed on the pavement in puddles of sick while others clearly had their sights set on taking a girl home.

The Santa Crawl advertises itself as the "number 1 student Santa fancy dress crawl" in the UK.

It also claims to be the "biggest night of your life" taking 1,000 students on the "biggest Club & Bar crawl at Oxfords Best Venues!!!"

Half-cut teens were seen lying on the ground or being looked after by club bouncers as the booze got too much.

But some kind-hearted students donated their Santa cloaks to homeless people to keep them warm as temperatures plummeted.

The bar crawl officially ended at Emporium after making pitstops along the way at ATIK and Anuba.

But for the tanked up students, the night didn't appear to be over until they got themselves a kebab and some chips.

It comes as Nottingham University students were slammed in October for dressing up as amputee victims of the Alton Towers rollercoaster crash for a bar crawl.

According to The Tab, the group, calling themselves 7 Legless, wore cardboard seats and foam harnesses and they posed for pictures waving their hands in the air as if on a rollercoaster.

Some stuffed old jeans they had tied up to look like they had limbs missing – with backs of their seats saying either “legged” or “legless”.
