Girl, 5, raped and strangled to death before police find body dumped inside sack in Kerala wasteland
A GIRL'S body was found inside a sack after she was raped and strangled to death.
The five-year-old had been kidnapped from her home in Kerala, India, on Friday.
An autopsy report found the child was raped and strangled to death.
Her body was located in a wasteland behind a local market in Aluva on Saturday.
Locals told cops they have seen the girl with the migrant worker in the area.
They described the wasteland as a common spot for anti-social behaviour, where alcohol and drug use are rampant.

Police rushed to the spot, and after searching the area, and recovered the girl's body.
A migrant worker was arrested as a suspect on Saturday evening, reported.
"Our team checked the CCTV camera footage and found that the child was with the labourer.
"We apprehended him at 9.30pm. However, he was in an inebriated state and the child was not with him," Ernakulam Rural SP Vivek Kumar said.

Cops found it difficult to interrogate the suspect and gather details as he was intoxicated.
“On Saturday morning, he confessed to the crime. However, he also tried to mislead the investigation team,” Kochi Range DIG, Srinivas A, revealed.
