The camera then briefly points down and then points at the boy, who can be seen writhing in pain on the ground.
The cop is approaching the boy with a pistol drawn, still pointed at him.

He kneels down and turns him over on his back, and then can be seen using his radio.
The school district confirmed the incident later on, saying “a student is in the hospital, and a thorough investigation is underway".

The school was put on lockdown after the incident, and the Washoe County School District issued a statement saying the situation was "currently stable and secure with heavy police presence at the school".
At about noon, the district sent an email to parents informing them of “an incident on campus". The school said parents were then called to update them on the situation.
The lockdown ended at around 2pm local time (10pm GMT).
