Woman arrested on suspicion of murder after man stabbed to death at Oldham home
Police are yet to formally identify the man after being called to the scene overnight
A WOMAN has been arrested after a man was stabbed to death overnight.
The 56-year-old man was rushed to hospital but died shortly after being found stabbed in the chest at a home in Unsworth Way in Oldham.
Police are now investigating with a 58-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of murder.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said police had been called about 7.50pm on Thursday night.
A spokesperson said: "Officers attended and found a man with a stab wound to his chest. He was sadly pronounced dead a short time later."

Police added: "A 58-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody for questioning."
Formal identification and a Home Office Post Mortem are due to take place.
A spokesperson said: "Enquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death."
