Two kids as young as TWELVE try to rob Christmas markets with knife
Stallholders refused to pass over any cash, with the children forced to leave empty-handed
TWO children wielding knives have threatened Christmas market stallholders in an attempted cash grab.
The kids, as young as 12, threatened vendors with the blade and demanded money at the festive markets in Cathedral Gardens in Manchester on Thursday afternoon.
But the stallholders refused to hand over any cash to the tracksuit-wearing pair.
It is understood the children took turns threatening the stallholders with the blade.

Two youngsters were reportedly questioned by security staff but were later let go.
Insp Phil Spurgeon, from Greater Manchester Police's city centre team, said: "At 1.25pm, we received a 999 call from a Christmas Market security officer saying two Christmas market stallholders had been threatened with a knife by two male youths."
He added: "The suspects were between 12 to 14 years old, and took it in turns to hold the knife while they demanded cash.
"They then made off and the area was searched, but the suspects couldn’t be located."
