Incredible moment brave 12-year-old kid stops a robbery by fighting off armed man then helping shopkeeper kick him out the jewellers

A BRAVE 12-year-old boy foiled an ARMED ROBBER by grabbing for his gun and then helping the shopkeeper throw him out of the jewellery store.

The astonishing CCTV shows the thief, who is wearing a surgical mask, hat and sunglasses to hide his identity, calmly walk into the shop in Bagcilar, Turkey.

But the street-wise youngster, named only as EK in Turkish media reports, appears to watch the man keenly, perhaps sensing he is up to no good.

Suddenly the criminal drops a bag on the counter and yanks out a pistol - but the lad immediately springs into action, using a martial arts move to slap the firearm away and attempting to punch the man in the chest with the flat of his hand.

The suspect, not expecting such a brave reaction from the youngster, panicked and shook the child to the left and right to try and get rid of him.

Meanwhile the clerk, Mehmet Karagöz, moves around the counter to help the boy.

The criminal realises he's onto a loser and flees before he is caught.

Cops discovered the criminal's whereabouts using the footage, which has recently gone viral, arrested a man called Mustafa Z and charged him with robbery.
