BRITS have been issued with urgent thunderstorm and flood warnings before 24C sunshine is due to hit this weekend.
The Met Office is forecasting warmer spells for the first weekend in September after a wet and windy few weeks.
Friday started off grey, damp and cloudy in parts with flood alerts being issued.
And now a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms has been put in place.
From 1pm until 7pm tonight the Met Office have issued the warning for parts of the south near Canterbury and up towards the east near Ipswich.
According to , around 14 parts of the UK are expected to be affected with 50 locations at high risk.

Residents on the Cumbrian coastline, the north Cornwall coast, the North Sea coast, Poole Harbour, Somerset coast and the south Cornwall coast are being warned to prepare.
Other parts of the country including Morecambe, Essex, Devon and Norfolk could be at risk.
Conditions however, will improve throughout the day with highs of 23C forecast for the south while the north of the country can expect 21C, the Met Office says.
And as we head into Saturday, the weather forecaster is predicting hotter conditions than Portugal.

London will top 24C while Faro is expected to be hit with thunderstorms and only reach 23C.
Parts of Wales, including Cardiff, is forecast to reach 22C along with the north of England.
Scotland will see conditions in the low 20s with "plenty of warm sunshine" but the far northwest could see some rain later on in the day.
On Sunday it will start off cloudy in some parts before the sunshine makes an appearance.
Conditions once again are expected to be around 24C in the south with the West Mids being just 1C lower.
Much of the north, such as Newcastle, will reach 22C with sunny spells and clouds in parts.
Meteorologist Alex Deakin said: "Drier, sunnier, warmer weather is on the way for the weekend, but the charts initially don't look too promising.
"We've got low pressure sitting across the UK and another one up towards the northwest.
"Quite an intense warm this, it's heading its way up towards Greenland.
"And actually that one is allowing high pressure to topple in further south and oust the low that's sitting across us at the moment.
"And this high will bring many of us a fine weekend and probably into the early part of next week as well."
The warm weather is also expected to stay for the remainder of next week with conditions potentially reaching 27 or 28C.
Grahame Madge, Met Office spokesman, said "most parts of the UK will expect to see fine and settled weather with some approaching heatwave conditions" during that time.
He added: "Because of the energy, heat, and moisture that tropical storms contain, they are significant disruptors of the North Atlantic atmosphere.
"Hurricane Franklin is pushing high pressure our way.
"We are likely to see heatwave conditions in some of the UK.
"We are expecting 26 or 27C, possibly 28C with scope for higher temperatures.
"By and large, most people will be in for a fine and sunny week possibly edging into next weekend.
"The clarity of the breakdown of these weather events is uncertain because of the impact of tropical cyclones."
