ONLINE scamsters are targeting unsuspecting Amazon shoppers this Christmas, it has been revealed.
Phishing fraudsters are using the online giant's logo to con Brits into handing over their details.
Urging the email's recipient to click on a link connected to a recent order, they are then taken to a page where they are asked to provide their bank details.
With millions of Brits placing orders with Amazon over Christmas, the fraudsters hope some will fall for the ruse and hand over sensitive information.
It has not been confirmed how many British shoppers have been caught out by the scam.

But the retailer confirmed it would never ask its users for any sensitive information via email.
Experts fear the ploy could see unsuspecting elderly shoppers caught out by cunning con artists.
Consumer rights expert Mary Bach told : "So many people right now are using Amazon, randomly sending out emails a mass email could be successful."
Consumers are urged to contact Amazon if they fear they have fallen victim to a scam.
