Microsoft claims Apple fans are so angry they are doing something UNTHINKABLE
iLovers are getting VERY annoyed with their former fave firm's products, says Apple's arch-rival
IN the tech world, there is nothing more steadfast and enduring than an Apple fan's love for their favourite firm - until today.
Microsoft has claimed turncoat Apple lovers are crossing the floor and choosing to do the unthinkable: buy a competitor's gadgets.
Apple's arch-rival has published a blog which claims "more people are switching from Macs to Surface than ever before".
The latest Apple Macbook Pro features groundbreaking "Touchbar" technology and a whopping price tag of £1,750 for the basic model.
In times gone by, Apple fans would have to put up or shut up with this hefty price, because the fruity firm's arch-rivals made products with all the excitement and glamour of a freight train timetable.
But Microsoft appears to have bucked this trend with the release of the Surface Studio, a 28-inch touchscreen PC on a stand, with the processing and power components built into the base.
This device has ditched the bureaucratic greyness of yore in favour of a gadget that's aimed directly at the trendy, creative (and relatively rich) people who buy Macbooks.
Microsoft wrote: "Our trade-in program for MacBooks was our best ever, and the combination of excitement for the innovation of Surface coupled with the disappointment of the new MacBook Pro – especially among professionals – is leading more and more people to make the switch to Surface, like this.
"It seems like a new review recommending Surface over MacBook comes out daily. This makes our team so proud, because it means we’re doing good work."

We'll have to wait a few more months to see Apple's sales figures, which will prove whether the Macbook has been a hit or a flop.
In our opinion, the Macbook Pro is still the best laptop in the world. But it's too expensive.
It may face stiff opposition from the Surface Studio, which is expected to cost more than £2,500 in the UK - a truly whopping price.
Is Microsoft celebrating too soon?
