A TUBE passenger was punched in the face after getting into a spat with a man reading over his shoulder.

The 51-year-old victim had been writing in a notebook when another passenger began leaning over his shoulder to read the notes.

He asked him to stop and he persisted, eventually pushed him away.

The offender became angry and punched the man in the face.

The victim was left with facial injuries including a black eye and a cut lip.

The attack happened on the London Underground between Victoria and Green Park at about 10.40am on November 6.

British Transport Police would like to speak to captured on CCTV about the incident.
