After hearing a loud bang, residents rushed over to discover a burning crater, but claim no object was found inside the hole
CHINESE villagers have been left baffled after a mysterious object which apparently fell from the sky left a big hole on the ground.
Residents in Zhangjiapan village, Shaanxi Province claim they heard a loud bang and saw something had landed on top of the mountain, reported People's Daily Online.
He said: "It made a loud bang when it hit the ground. Then it started burning. The dry grass nearby was quickly set aflame.";
According to , police found items that could be related to the incident in three locations in the south-western part of Fugu county.
One of the objects found near the crater, was a large metal ring with letters and numbers marked on the surface.
Some believe the object could be coming from a supposed UFO.
One user wrote: "It must have fallen from a crashed alien spacecraft."
Another added: "The ring looks like the door of a UFO cabin".
"It must have been the wheel of an alien's vehicle," another speculated.
One user suggested: "I will look to the sky while I am walking."
Police are investigating the incident and all objects found have been sent for testing.
