Lauren Goodger’s burglar boyfriend moved to tougher jail after being caught using smuggled mobile phone
Joey Morrison, 30, has lost visitor privileges, such as two-hour outdoor visits from his 30-year-old ex-Towie girlfriend
LAUREN Goodger’s convict boyfriend has been moved to a tougher prison because he was caught secretly using a smuggled mobile phone.
Joey Morrison, 30, was caught with pals using the smuggled device inside HMP Standford Hill in Kent, a category D open facility.
He has lost visitor privileges, such as two-hour outdoor visits from his 30-year-old ex-Towie girlfriend, now he is at category C jail HMP Highpoint South in Suffolk.
Morrison, also 30, is serving an 18-year sentence for possession of a firearm, kidnap, blackmail and aggravated burglary.
A source said: “He was caught with a group of friends inside using the phone, which is contraband in prisons.
“He wasn’t due out anytime soon because he wasn’t allowed on town visits – which you get when you’re a month or so away from being released.
“But now he’s lost a lot of privileges. I saw Lauren visiting him twice; they were all over each other.
“He won’t be able to walk around with her outside during visits now. They couldn’t stop kissing each other on the benches outside at Standford Hill.”

It comes after it emerged the TV star had her prisoner boyfriend's name tattooed on her wrist to show her devotion to him.
A source told The Mirror: “She wants to show that she is serious and show everyone she doesn’t care what they think.”
However Morrison shouldn’t feel too special or nervous about Lauren’s grand gesture, as this is the third time she’s tattooed herself for a man.
She has Mark Wright’s name inked on her bikini line and Jake on her left wrist in tribute to her ex Jake McLean.
Only last week, Lauren treated her jailbird to some very expensive new trainers.
Posting a picture of them which match a pair she owns, on Instagram with the caption: “His and hers”.
Joey’s sister later jokingly commented: “What about the sis in law?”
She later denied paying for the trainers, admitting that the con paid for the £500 shoes himself.
Lauren revealed her heartbreak at being unable to spend Christmas with Joey at HMP Stanford Hill.
She told Closer Magazine: “I really wanted to see him over the Christmas Day but sadly the prison is closed.
“I wanted to take him a Christmas meal but I’m not allowed to.
“I’ve already sent him trainers and tracksuits – but that’s all I can send!”
She told Closer Magazine: “It’s really narrow-minded that people see him as a criminal.
“Yes, he’s not been an angel but people deserve a second chance and his crimes never involved innocent people.”
Lauren’s looking to the future now and adds: “He’s done half his time and he should be out in a couple of months.
“I can’t wait! I’m going to hold a party for him, his family and our mutual friends.”
It seems starting a family is very much in her plans, with broody Lauren saying “I’ll have [a baby] next year” before admitting she’d love to have two children.
She added: “I’m so excited about having a baby. There will be a LG range and everything.”
In September it was revealed that Lauren was permitted to spend time with the Essex convict in the open prison’s “informal environment” and the pair are said to have been getting rather cosy.
A source said: “I’ve seen Lauren there visiting Joey a couple of times and they look incredibly close.
“Joey’s been a bad lad over the years but he’s got links to Essex so she’s probably known him some time.
They added to the Sunday People: “They look every bit like a couple and that’s what everyone in the prison thinks is going on.
Discussing being attracted to bad boys, Lauren added: “I don’t think I’m necessarily attracted to ‘bad boys’, I’m attracted to people who look after me and make me feel safe.
“When people say they love bad boys, it’s because some of them make you feel protected and it’s exciting. I like someone exciting who lives life on the edge.”
